  1. Danger: Remote administration tools grant a person without physical access to your computer grants him/her more access then you actually have to your own computer if you are infected. They can steal credit card information, steal keystrokes, steal saved passwords, delete whole hard drives, install other programs on your computer, and click around on your screen taking control.
Prevention: Don’t install anything with an extension of an .exe, .pif, .scr, .com, .bat, or .jar. Install a reputable anti-virus software such as ESET/Kaspersky and malwarebytes, scan suspicious files on virustotal.com before downloading them, and always download things from a reputable source such as cnet.

  4. Old or unreliable scripts can be very dangerous. They could send spam to others from your email, hack your site or server, or even attack other PCs all without you knowing. Ways to prevent dangerous scripts from taking over ares simple. Don't answer spam emails, don't use unreliable software, and never modify a script if you're unsure of the results.

I followed the rubric and stated an interesting fact about posting on depression, but I feel that my source did not provide an extreme amount of information although it had decent statistics.

  7. Danger: Identity Theft is when someone steals another person’s identification information, such as, credit cards, driver’s license, social security number, etc. When someone obtains this information they can take out large sums of money or commit crimes under your name and information.
Prevention: To protect yourself from identity theft, you should never give anyone your social security number over the internet. You should always check your bank statement and credit report to make sure there are no incorrect transactions. If you don’t protect yourself carefully, you will be very vulnerable to identity theft.

  11. Danger.
Viruses can sometimes damage the computer. They can insert themselves on to the computer programs and delete them, crash the computer or format it. Other viruses or spyware can hide in your computer and monitor what you do for advertisements.

    Prevention.
Always be careful when opening strange emails, or emails from people you don't know, they could contain malware or harmful software. It is always a good idea to use anti-virus programs just in case to keep your computer running smoothly.

  12. Danger: There are many dangers with social media such as Getting your account broken into illegally (hacked) or even Stalked through Facebook. This can be a dangerous thing for children or even unknowing teens. There are people out there who use their computers in a way to illegally infiltrate the code of social media and retrieve someone username and password. Stalking is another big issue through Facebook especially because there is a lot of personal information that you put out for other people to see whenever they want to.
Prevention: There isn’t a true way to prevent “hackers” from accessing your email or Facebook but you can lessen your chances of this. One way is to keep your twitter and Facebook to people that you know and not just anyone who follows you or tries to add you. However the alternate method can be better, you can change your password every week to something new to prevent them from accessing you or you can even put in false information such as a fake email (an email that you don’t use for school or daily use) or even a fake address and phone number.

  14. Danger: Tech savvy people could hack into others vulnerable accounts and get personal information to use for their own benefit.
Prevention: Don't click on ads that claim you won a prize because most of them are fake and are simply spams. Avoid meeting strangers you met on the internet, if you do, make it somewhere public with witnesses.
